Why baby boomers can still work. There are two reasons, they will have to for financial reasons, and they will be physically able to.
Baby boomers, those reaching 65 in 2010, have a life expectancy of 78 years. According to a Del Webb survey, they should know something about retirement, 72% of all baby boomers plan on working in retirement.
This is not by choice…most simply do not have enough money to retire…the good news is that this generation is retiring in an age where work does not have to look like work anymore.
Let me explain…I have been retired for 16 years I am 65…I have not had to earn until the 2008 stock market crash forced me to reevaluate my situation. I realized that I would have to earn something to keep up my current lifestyle.
Regular work, I am a retired commercial real estate broker, had no appeal to me. I have been fully retired for 14 plus years…I am used to the freedom it gives you…I never wanted to have to say†I can’t go on the cruise…I have to work†or “ I cannot play golf next Monday I am workingâ€.
The solution for me was to earn online. Anywhere there is an internet connection I can “workâ€. I realized I had another problem…I knew less than zero about computers and online businesses. I only knew I liked the freedom that online businesses afford. Work anywhere, anytime was what I insisted upon.
After spinning my wheels and wasting time for 3 months, I found a first class, honest teaching system that promised to teach me what I needed to do to become successful online. It required a lot of reading, a lot of hard work, and a lot of writing…something I had never done before.
The teaching has over delivered and I am a baby boomer who now has the confidence to say I can stay retired. I am earning enough to match my Social Security check…is it easy, not at all, it is hard work…but it is work that I can do anywhere, anytime…I look and feel fully retired.
You can do this too…so baby boomers the sooner you start earning extra income the sooner you can retire anywhere and anytime you want.
